for King and Empire services rendered.

Each SWB is uniquely numbered on the back, as is this one; B330761

This number belonged to Spr (Sappeur) John William Beagley of the Royal Engineers, who enlisted on March 6, 1917, and was discharged due to sickness in 1919.
