TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN; This is to certify that Mr. Francis E. Drake, Officier of the Legion of Honor, is fully authorized as General European Representative to reresent and act for this Company in all negotiations or transactions with the French Goverment, private corporations or individuals in any af the countries of Continental Europe or the colonies and dependencies thereof.
The US Rubber Export Co.Ltd later became known under the Uniroyal and Goodyear brand names.
Supplier for the army of various countries of, among other things, shoes, shoe soles, automobile tires, waterproof clothing, motorcycle and bicycle tires and so on.
This letter was drafted on August 11, 1915 and bears the signatures of the Company Secretary and President and a 1914 company seal.
This special document was presented to the French government by the representative Drake during his visit.
